Tenants Revolt After American Flag Was Called A Threat
It was reported to me that numerous concerned citizens were contacting The Lodge on El Dorado, and expressing their concerns about the management’s decision to force Duy Tran to remove his American flag from his balcony. One of the callers reported that “He was told by the lodge staff that Duy Tran’s display of his American flag, was under management investigation and would not release any further information”.
A couple of us made a visit to the complex on Sunday. What we witnessed proves that American Patriotism has not died within our community. Numerous residents within the complex had flags and banners displayed at their residence entrances, and along their balconies. Small flags also lined the center median and the entire width of the property along El Dorado Boulevard.
One of the residents stated “That he hadn’t heard of a single complaint concerning the display of the American flag up to now”. He also stated that “Since the new manager had taken over the lodge several of the maintenance staff had resigned”. He went on to say that “We as Americans have the right to display our American flag, that so many have fought and died for”.
Since the original story was released by local media, the management of The Lodge on El Dorado, attached a statement on each of the residents doors explaining their stance on their decision. Click this link to read the Actual Statement
At this point it is unclear to me how the management of The Lodge on El Dorado, will address Duy Tran’s display of the American flag from his balcony, with so many other flags now being displayed throughout the entire complex.
