To all precinct chairs:
As you may have heard, last Tuesday night, at the Clear Lake Area Republican’s monthly meeting, our state representative, John Davis, announced that he would not be seeking re-election to the Dist 129 seat. This means that the seat is open and there will be several people who will be on the ballot in our primaries in March 2014.
One of those people will be Briscoe Cain. Briscoe has asked me to help him get the word out to the precinct chairs in 129 that he will be seeking election to this seat and that he would like to talk to you regarding this decision. Here are a few facts about Briscoe Cain that will help you to know him a little better:
Briscoe and his wife, Bergundi, and 10 month old baby boy live in Seabrook.
He is a Christian attorney who specializes in family and religious liberty law.
He is the Texas legal counsel for Operation Rescue, the pro-life organization that recently exposed the Texas abortionist accused of killing babies born alive, and he is co-counsel with the Liberty Institute on a religious liberty case.
He is a grassroots conservative and he has volunteered on local campaigns including school board, city council and judicial races.
His Treasurer is the distinguished jurist, Judge Paul Pressler.
I hope that you will give him an opportunity to discuss with you issues you both think important to Texas and specifically to our District 129.
If you have any questions for Briscoe you can call him at: 832-779-2246.
